Thank you for your interest in Golf Turf Consulting. As the company founder it is my pleasure you give you a brief overview of myself as well as the success and expertise my company can provide for you.

Golf courses have been in my blood for most of my life. Over the past 30+ years I have been very fortunate to have been involved with the development and management of some of the very best golf courses in the industry.

After tolerating years of cold Indiana winters, I moved to sunny Fort Myers, Florida in 1982 where I started working on the construction of Fiddlesticks Country Club (rated in the top ten in the State of Florida). This project was headed by Buddy Carmouche, CGCS. I knew that golf course management was the career I wanted to pursue, so I enrolled at Lake City Community College to study Golf Course Operations. Following OJT stints at The Country Club of Indianapolis with Jeff Stuart, GCCS and Boca Logo Country Club, under the direction of David Court, CGCS; I returned to Fort Myers to work at Fiddlesticks Country Club with Lou Conzelmann, CGCS, as the Golf Course Superintendent.

In 1992, David Fry, CGCS, brought me on board with The Mariner Group to aid in the development and construction of Riverwood Golf Club. (Featured in Golf Digest as a 4 1/2 star golf course designed by Gene Bates). During this time I achieved my Certified Golf Course Superintendent status. Mr. Fry moved on to WCI Communities as Senior VP of Amenities, where he brought me on board as the Superintendent of WCI's Pelican's Nest Golf Course (one of the Top 25 public course in the nation). Thereafter, I was promoted to the position of Director of Golf Development for WCI Communities.

Over the past 10 years, I was fortunate enough to be on the development team with such notable designers as Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Peter Jacobsen, Ray Floyd, Chip Powell, Jerry Pate, and Hurdzan/Fry. I was involved with the design, construction and renovation of 16 of WCI Communities golf courses. I also assisted in the design, development and construction of the golf course operation centers for nine of these projects. In addition, I have been involved with seven Audubon International Gold Signature courses. My experience is reinforced by a "Hands-on / day-to-day" approach working with seven Seashore Paspalum Courses.

Having been a part of these projects from the start to the finish gave me the experience and knowledge that is essential to assist you in any development (project) at any stage.

"Do it right the first time and enjoy the results."
